Why use iSharePDF to merge PDFs

Common use cases

Merge PDF is useful whenever separate documents need to travel together: combining a cover letter with a CV and portfolio before sending a job application, assembling multi-part invoices or receipts into a single attachment for accounting, or joining scanned pages (from a phone or flatbed scanner) into one coherent file to share with a client or colleague.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to merge PDF files online?

With iSharePDF, yes, because there is no "online" processing in the traditional sense. The tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are read from local memory, processed client-side, and written back to your device. At no point are they sent to a remote server, stored in the cloud, or accessible to anyone other than you. This makes it suitable even for sensitive documents such as legal contracts, medical files, or financial statements.

Is there a file size or page limit when merging PDFs?

There is no enforced file size limit or page cap. In practice, very large files (several hundred megabytes combined) may take longer to process depending on your device's available memory and CPU speed. For most everyday documents, presentations, reports, scanned pages, the process takes a few seconds regardless of file count.

Can I merge more than two PDFs at once?

Yes. You can add as many PDF files as you need in a single operation. Select them all at once using your file picker, or add them one by one. You can reorder them before merging by dragging the thumbnails into the sequence you want.

Will the merged PDF preserve the original formatting, fonts, and images?

Yes. The tool performs a structural merge rather than re-rendering the pages. Each page is taken as-is from the original file, so fonts, images, vector graphics, and page dimensions are preserved exactly. Embedded bookmarks and internal links within the original files may or may not carry over depending on the PDF structure, but the visual content of every page is retained.

How is this different from merge PDF tools that require sign-up?

Many PDF tools require creating an account, impose daily limits for free users, or process files on their servers before returning the result. iSharePDF requires none of that. There is no account, no daily quota, and no server involved. The tradeoff is that very advanced features (such as OCR or password-protected file editing) require more infrastructure, but for straightforward merging, local processing is both faster and more private than any server-side alternative.
